Bentonville’s Newest Boutique Hotel

As Senior Marketing and Communications Manager at The Indigo Road, I worked on Tom Walton’s team to bring a project 8 years in the making, The Compton, to life.

I built a multi-stage marketing strategy, leading a team to engage local and national media outlets, refine The Compton brand, and host a series of in-person opening events to build public awareness. I also led digital marketing, building websites for each of the 3 restaurants, taking recurring photography of food & beverage and the space, and engaging local influencers and managing 3 social media accounts.

The result was a smashing success—The Compton received:

  • 20+ national PR placements, including pieces with Southern Living and Travel & Leisure, receiving over 288,000,000 UVM

  • 5,000 social media followers gained within 3 months, and countless views across 20+ influencer engagements

  • Premier restaurant, Sestina, was sold out for a month after opening, and is currently 2.5x projected revenue.
